Denver HVAC Repair

Tony was very good - appointment took a while to book, but that's understandable, since they have built a great business and have lots of people calling them. Tony came this Sunday morning, and once he saw the HVAC unit, knew exactly what the issue was - fixed it in under 20 mins, and my AC was back to normal Pricing is fair - parts, labor and diagnostic fee and tax I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing his services. He's honest, very nice to deal with even made my toddler son smile. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!
Absolutely horrible service dont show or call within there appointment window, half to blow up the o...wners phone after there appointment window to get any answers why. And then it takes another 2 hours for there tech to get there after you were told it would be only an hour. Horrible customer service even though it was a Saturday and they made the appointment. But the tech was very professional. Never recommend them only had to use them cause of insurance See More
“Air conditioners contain refrigerant, which allows the system to run efficiently, releasing heat from the air to cool it. Air conditioners are charged with refrigerant upon installation; a poor charge or a refrigerant leak can cause the system’s refrigerant level to fall below the proper amount. To remedy this, the home AC repair which is performed is a refrigerant recharge, accompanied by fixing the leak if that was the source causing low refrigerant levels.
Our A/C was blowing hot air intermittently...it was cold one minute and warm the next. By 8pm I'd have a 90 degree interior temp. After one company just took a cursory glance at our A/C and found nothing wrong, I called HVAC. I called them mostly based on Michael W's post on 8/10/14 where he told us the owner, Alberto, took his feedback and took it SERIOUSLY. That speaks VOLUMES to anyone who has been around long enough to know the characteristics of the serious players are and those who are the wannabes. So HVAC sent Tony Diaz to my house. I was at work so he was subjected to the most excruciatingly exacting woman on the planet (my wife). Tony impressed her with his friendliness, professionalism and the obvious jouneyman-level knowledge of his craft. He found literally --burnt-out-- parts in our system and replaced them. It cost us a bit but I know enough about the parts to see there was no gouging on the parts and a fair rate for the labor. It wasn't cheap but it was fair and worth every dime. And now i have A/C in my house again and a repairman came to my house, actually FIXED something AND managed to do so in a friendly & professional manner. That used to be commonplace...nowadays it deserves a "Wow".. Thank you, Tony!
No one wants to be stuck in the dead of summer with a broken air conditioner, or in the cold of winter with a broken furnace or boiler. That’s why we’re available any time of day to make your emergency heating and air conditioning repair and get your system up and running as quickly as possible. Air conditioners improperly installed will develop air duct leaks and low air flow. Your air conditioner looses its cooling power in hot weather. A lack of maintenance will cause your air conditioner to malfunction. Refrigerant charges and compressors are some of the parts needing regular maintenance. Regular maintenance increases the lifespan and production of your air conditioner.

Change the filter: A new filter can cost as little as $20. Since this is the most effective way of maintaining your AC system, there is no reason not to change your filter. Homeowners should change your AC filters whenever it gets dirty. Depending on the filter, you may have to change it once every six months or once every month. Each filter should indicate how long it will last.

We’ll always have the solution to your air conditioning problem, and we’ll rescue you when your system stops working. Call us or schedule your service online today and we think you will see why we are considered to be one of the Best A/C Companies in the Dallas & Fort Worth area!
You can keep your air conditioner running efficiently with some preventative care measures. Shut off the power to your AC before cleaning it or performing any of these tasks:  clean your filter at least twice a year; remove leaves and twigs from cages; clean the fins with a garden hose or special spray, then use a butter knife to straighten any that are crooked; keep your yard clean so the fins won't get blocked; cover the unit up for winter; and make sure it's level or you run the risk of damaging the inner workings of the unit.

Your air conditioner’s outside unit is home to the compressor, fan, and condenser coils. These components work to release heat from the air, transferring it out of your home to produce a cool indoor climate. When the outdoor fan isn’t working correctly, the heat transfer process is hindered. Not only will this prevent your air conditioner from adequately cooling your home, a broken fan can cause the system’s compressor to overheat. An overheated compressor could trigger the air conditioner’s safety controls, turning your air conditioner off; overheating can also cause damage to the compressor itself, requiring home AC repair or compressor replacement.
We offer maintenance and tune-ups for all brands of central heating and air conditioning equipment. Systems serviced include central air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and air quality systems such as whole-home humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners. Tune-up service is also available for oil furnaces, ductless mini splits and boilers in many markets.
All AC repairs were not created equal. While a new filter could cost as low as $20, a refrigerant leak repair can cost up to $1,600. Just like any aspect of the house, certain repairs will mostly depend on the damage. Clearly, the more serious issues will cost more. That not only means more time for the HVAC pro, but more complexity and materials as well. Sadly, neither come without a hefty markup.
Throughout the coldest months of winter—especially in North America—a heating system repair is probably not something you want on your mind, but it likely will be if you need it on a bone-chilling day. You are in luck though, because Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is committed to doing expert quality furnace and heat pump repair, maintenance and installation through North America. It’s our job to make sure you are left with complete comfort in your home.
Take germs, for example. The majority of people attempt to avoid these dangerous airborne, illness-causing organisms with hand sanitizer or by washing their hands regularly. But did you know that a old indoor coil in your own Mableton home can expose you and your family to fungi and bacteria in your duct systems? That’s why devices like the Ultraviolet Germicidal Light exist. They can help prevent the accumulation of germs in your home and allow you to breathe in clean air. Call us for a complimentary, in-home estimate to find out how we can install one of these in your duct system.
If you have an older central air conditioner, you might choose to replace the outdoor compressor with a modern, high-efficiency unit. If you do so, consult a local heating and cooling contractor to assure that the new compressor is properly matched to the indoor unit. However, considering recent changes in refrigerants and air conditioning designs, it might be wiser to replace the entire system.
In order to get the most out of your equipment, we highly recommend proper preventative HVAC maintenance. You’ll want to make sure from the outset that you have access to skilled and knowledgeable technicians who have been factory-trained to service your particular model, since different systems require different highly specific modifications. It’s advisable to find a reputable HVAC dealer in the Atlanta area that guarantees their work and offers annual service contracts to their customers to ensure necessary seasonal maintenance is always being performed regularly. Many times, timely adjustments and filter changes that are done on a regular basis can wind up saving you from breakdowns that always seem to occur right when you need your system the most.
Multiple inventions within this time frame preceded the beginnings of first comfort air conditioning system, which was designed in 1902 by Alfred Wolff (Cooper, 2003) for the New York Stock Exchange, while Willis Carrier equipped the Sacketts-Wilhems Printing Company with the process AC unit the same year. Coyne College was the first school to offer HVAC training in 1899.[12]
In addition to air cleanliness, we provide expert services in air conditioning sales, installation, and maintenance, furnaces, heat pumps, packaged systems, and more. Chances are that if you have a concern when it comes to HVAC, we can solve your problem. Our technicians in Mableton will walk you through the service you need, how to fill your need most cost-effectively, and provide a 100% guarantee on the services we provide – each time.
The customer service person on the phone was very pleasant. About an hour later a technician arrived even though it was 9pm at night. The technician seemed very experienced and thorough. He found the problem right away, but spent additional time looking over the entire system to make sure nothing else was causing other problems. He then explained the repair and gave me the price to make the repair, and asked for approval before moving ahead with the repair. The price was very reasonable, and it was repaired within an hour. I highly recommend AND Services!

If your unit needs more than two pounds or charged more than once a year it is recommended you have a refrigerant leak check done to your system. You most likely have a serious refrigerant leak and it needs to be repaired. Leaking units do not operate efficiently; take their toll on the environment, and can cause serious HVAC mechanical problems in the future. Lastly, a good HVAC service tech will attempt to find the refrigerant leak within the hour’s air conditioning service you are paying for in addition to the refrigerant charge.

SEER is related to the coefficient of performance (COP) commonly used in thermodynamics and also to the Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER). The EER is the efficiency rating for the equipment at a particular pair of external and internal temperatures, while SEER is calculated over a whole range of external temperatures (i.e., the temperature distribution for the geographical location of the SEER test). SEER is unusual in that it is composed of an Imperial unit divided by an SI unit. The COP is a ratio with the same metric units of energy (joules) in both the numerator and denominator. They cancel out, leaving a dimensionless quantity. Formulas for the approximate conversion between SEER and EER or COP are available.[34]
A heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) service technician starts an appointment with a customer by asking about any problems with the heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning systems in the client's home or business. From there, the technician will carefully examine the equipment in question to diagnose and troubleshoot the problem. Once the issue is determined, the technician provides the customer with a repair quote and, if authorized, begins to repair or replace defective equipment, mechanical components, or wiring in HVAC systems. An HVAC service technician might also be called upon by a customer to carry out preventative maintenance tasks or inspections to ensure that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems continue to run smoothly. A technician should have certification or an associate's degree from a technical or trade school that is accredited by HVAC Excellence, the National Center for Construction Education and Research, or the Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Accreditation. Formal training programs can last anywhere from six months up to two years. The job involves working with electrical equipment, so it is very important that a technician know exactly what he or she is doing or the job can get very dangerous very quickly. If an education is not in the picture, it is sometimes possible to go through a formal apprenticeship program which can take three to five years and mixes on-the-job experience and training with classroom instruction. Exams for certifications are offered by a number of associations. A license to work as an HVAC technician is required in several states and can be obtained by passing a written test. We moved into a new home and had issues with the heating ducts in one of the rooms. We called HVAC based on other yelp reviews. Overall, everyone we dealt with were friendly, professional and knowledgeable: From the people on the phone managing the schedule to the those performing the work in our house. The day before the scheduled work we asked if additional work could be done (clothes dryer duct cleaning), which they were able to accommodate. The people working at the house were on time, very polite, took great care to keep the house clean during the entire job and explained everything when they were finished. I will certainly use HVAC again.
Most modern air-conditioning systems feature a dehumidification cycle during which the compressor runs while the fan is slowed as much as possible[citation needed] to reduce the evaporator temperature and therefore condense more water. When the temperature falls below a threshold, both the fan and compressor are shut off to mitigate further temperature drops;[clarification needed] this prevents moisture on the evaporator from being blown back into the room.[citation needed] When the temperature rises again,[clarification needed] the compressor restarts and the fan returns to low speed.
The coil is usually made of copper tubing with aluminum fins, but some manufacturers use aluminum tubing. Its purpose is to transfer heat as rapidly as possible. Pressure inside the coil can exceed 400 psi. during extremely warm weather conditions. The cleaner it is kept, the better it transfers heat. Rinsing with a garden hose occasionally when the unit is not running will help keep it operating efficiently. After many years of use it may be necessary to put special chemicals on to clean it.
If the air conditioner on your thermostat set low, and you aren't feeling cool air, it could be that debris is blocking the condenser. Check on your system outside and remove any tree branches or leaves from around it. Debris can easily obstruct air flow, so make sure the area around your air conditioning unit is clean and trimmed back. Make sure your filter is clean. A buildup of dirt and dust can cause poor air circulation.

I awoke to a smoky smell from my heater and called HVAC service Heating & Air . I called HVAC and I was given an appointment that afternoon. Their technician arrived promptly and was totally knowledgeable and courteous. He had the new motor and starter on his truck and after a total replacement I now have my morning heat back!! I would use them over n over and they were very competitive in their pricing.

Ground source, or geothermal, heat pumps are similar to ordinary heat pumps, but instead of transferring heat to or from outside air, they rely on the stable, even temperature of the earth to provide heating and air conditioning. Many regions experience seasonal temperature extremes, which would require large-capacity heating and cooling equipment to heat or cool buildings. For example, a conventional heat pump system used to heat a building in Montana's −70 °F (−57 °C) low temperature or cool a building in the highest temperature ever recorded in the US—134 °F (57 °C) in Death Valley, California, in 1913 would require a large amount of energy due to the extreme difference between inside and outside air temperatures. A few feet below the earth's surface, however, the ground remains at a relatively constant temperature. Utilizing this large source of relatively moderate temperature earth, a heating or cooling system's capacity can often be significantly reduced. Although ground temperatures vary according to latitude, at 6 feet (1.8 m) underground, temperatures generally only range from 45 to 75 °F (7 to 24 °C).

If you hear clicking that is followed by a hum or buzz, you’re probably hearing the fan motor attempting to start without the boost it needs from the capacitor. You can almost always conclude that the capacitor has failed. Sometimes you can get the compressor fan spinning (clockwise) by pushing it with a thin stick or long screwdriver poked through the grille. But the chances are good that this might work for one cycle, but the capacitor will fail next time the AC goes on. It’s best to replace the capacitor.
Window unit air conditioners are installed in an open window. The interior air is cooled as a fan blows it over the evaporator. On the exterior the heat drawn from the interior is dissipated into the environment as a second fan blows outside air over the condenser. A large house or building may have several such units, allowing each room to be cooled separately.
Outside of your home is an outdoor unit, which is called a condenser. Inside the condenser is a compressor, a condenser coil, and a large fan. The compressor pumps cool refrigerant to an evaporator coil located either in the air handler or just outside the furnace. The evaporator coil gets really cold so that when the blower or furnace pushes warm air past it, the air is cooled. This cool air is then distributed throughout your home through a series of air ducts. Heat is absorbed by the evaporator coil, which warms the refrigerant moving through the coils. This warm refrigerant is then pumped back outside to the condenser coil, where a giant fan cools it off allowing the warm air to escape. This cycle is repeated until your thermostat detects that your home has reached the temperature you set it to.

"Customer service was great, and the price was in-line with other places, and fast service. We had a whole replacement of the outside and inside. I would have liked to see a better install for the furnace and new thermostat - the new thermostat should have gone where the old one was, and even tho the new furnace was a tight fit, they didn't offer to come back and repair the case molding, or give me a discount on the damage done, and I believe they should have put a disconnect box on the outside of the home, to make it easier for any future repairs needed. Other than that, am very happy with the cooling and heating!"
