a/c compressor needed replacing. the A Team Mechanical found a way to return the next day to complete the repairs and made sure the system was running effectively. Even put down another concrete base pad to level the a/c unit. They were professionals and straight forward with the services needed. All the other HVAC companies wanted to charge me three time the amount for the services.

“Today Tom Mendoza visited a rental house I own. Again another great visit, he represented himself & Robinson Air in an outstanding manner. Tom was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. In all the techs I have interacted with from Robinson Air, they continue to show great pride and candor when laying out options. There is no doubt, this is a first class business who work for the customer. Call them first!!! Kudos to Tom and all the Robinson Air team. Thank you.”
Wow! These guys rock! I had issues with our fireplace for a while and the last company who "fixed" the issue basically charged me a lot of money and literally left me standing in the cold. Next they said it would cost me over $700 to fix the whole thing and they never came back. Finally I was able to find some good guys to fix the issue. Tony and Paul from HVAC were not only really friendly, they diagnosed the issue really fast and fixed it the same day. And it was 7 times less than what the other company asked for!!! Next time I know who to call! 5 Stars!
If the condenser coils are clogged, the compressor can overheat and shut down. You’ll experience intermittent periods of minimal cooling, followed by no cooling. Even if you’re “sure” the condenser coils are clean, clean them again. Turn off the power. Flip the air conditioning service and furnace circuit breakers in your main electrical panel to the “Off” position. Next, turn off the power switch right at the furnace or air handler. Then yank the disconnect block (Photo 1) and clean the condenser coils (Photo 2). If the air conditioning service still doesn’t work properly after you’ve cleaned the condenser coils, installed a new filter and opened all the supply vents, proceed with the following repairs.
In addition to the information below, see these two articles for the general care and maintenance of your air conditioner: Preparing Your Air Conditioner for Summer and How to Replace Furnace & AC Filters. Most noteworthy, you should replace the filters at least twice a year, before the heating and cooling seasons. For information on furnace problems, please see Furnace Not Working.
2) Keep your coils clean. The AC coils and fins on the outside of your unit need to be kept clean and clear of obstructions. Leaves and other debris sometimes accumulate around your unit. If obstructions are present, your unit must work harder to function than it should. You can clean your unit with a regular garden hose and a broom. Do not use a pressure washer, as the strong spray could cause harm to your system. A little bit of housekeeping in this regard goes far toward keeping your air conditioner working optimally.

The standards do not require you to change your existing central air conditioning units, and replacement parts and services should still be available for your home’s systems. The “lifespan” of a central air conditioner is about 15 to 20 years. Manufacturers typically continue to support existing equipment by making replacement parts available and honoring maintenance contracts after the new standard goes into effect.
Our heater went out last Saturday, which was a cold day.  Called a few different places and they… Our heater went out last Saturday, which was a cold day.  Called a few different places and they were the only ones that called back.  The technician Tony came out and after a little testing said the main control board needed to be replaced.  He quoted us a total of $489 which seemed on the high side but it was cold and we were somewhat desperate, so we agreed and paid a parts deposit.
Maintaining your air conditioner (HVAC) unit will ensure that it’s ready to properly cool your home all throughout the summer. Keeping your unit in good condition is also important for your wallet: lack of maintenance shortens a unit’s lifespan by 10-15 years, meaning you’ll need to buy a new one sooner. Lack of maintenance also results in a 5% efficiency loss, which results in higher energy bills.
During the coldest months of winter—even more so in Longmont—a heating system repair is probably not something you want to think about, but it likely will be if you need it on a bone-chilling day. You are lucky though, because Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is dedicated to completing expert quality furnace and heat pump repair, maintenance and installation in Longmont. It’s our job to be sure you are left with complete comfort in your home.
They were quick to come out and diagnose the problem with my furnace, but I thought the estimate of $549 a bit high to replace the circuit board.  So called around and found Leo's Appliance in Concord that sells appliance parts and the circuit board was only $90.49 - that is the retail cost to me, so I imagine the wholesale cost is a lot less.  So BEWARE of this company since they wanted $500!!! to replace the circuit board which is located right in the front of the furnace - extremely easy to access.  I hate it that you cannot trust repair companies.

Hii need you guys help! Once my thermostat drop below the set temp , my furnace does not turn on and I was wondering what’s wrong with it. It happens mostly on cold nights. Sometimes I would have to go in the basement and turned the furnace power switch off then on and will come on once I switch it off then on.i also change the thermostat recently, so I don’t think that’s the problem

AC units and thermostats have built-in delay features when they’re shut down and then repowered. The delay can be as long as 10 minutes. And, if you’ve subscribed to an energy-saving device from your local power utility, the unit can take even longer to reset. If you’ve installed the parts shown and reinstalled the disconnect block, repowered the circuit breaker, turned on the switch at the furnace, moved the thermostat to AC mode and lowered the temperature below the indoor temperature, and the unit doesn’t fire up after 30 minutes, it’s time to call a pro.
