Rise and Shine: The Morning Routine

My day as a Brian & Sons HVAC technician starts early. I’m up at 6 AM, grabbing a quick breakfast and my trusty toolbox before heading out to our first job in Aurora, IL. The summer heat is already building, and I know it’s going to be a busy day of air conditioning installations and repairs.

First Call: AC Service in Montgomery

Our first stop is a residential AC service call in Montgomery. The homeowner’s unit isn’t cooling properly, so we perform a thorough inspection. It turns out the air filter is clogged, reducing airflow. After replacing the filter and cleaning the coils, the system is running smoothly again.

Midday: HVAC Installation in Oswego

Next, we head to Oswego for a full HVAC installation. This is a bigger job that takes most of the day. We carefully remove the old system and install the new one, ensuring everything is properly connected and calibrated. It’s satisfying to see the homeowner’s relief when cool air starts flowing through their vents.

Afternoon: Emergency Repair in Sugar Grove

Just as we’re wrapping up in Oswego, we get an emergency call from Sugar Grove. A family’s air conditioner has completely shut down on one of the hottest days of the year. We rush over and diagnose the problem: a faulty capacitor. Luckily, we have the part on hand and can make the repair quickly.

Evening: Wrapping Up in Yorkville

Our final stop of the day is in Yorkville for a routine maintenance check. We inspect the system, clean the components, and top off the refrigerant. The homeowner is pleased with our thorough service and asks about our maintenance plans.

End of Day: Back to North Aurora

As the sun sets, we head back to our home base in North Aurora. I fill out my service reports, restock my truck for tomorrow, and finally head home, tired but satisfied with another day of keeping our customers cool and comfortable.

Working for Brian & Sons is more than just a job – it’s about providing essential comfort to our community. Whether it’s installing a new system or making an emergency repair, every day brings new challenges and rewards in the world of HVAC.
